The stage is set, and Scotland\u2019s women\u2019s cricket team is ready to make history! The European side has announced a formidable 15-player squad for the upcoming ICC Women\u2019s Cricket World Cup Qualifier<\/strong>, where they will battle it out for one of the two coveted spots at this year\u2019s 50-over World Cup in India<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Scotland has retained 12 players from their previous ICC Women\u2019s T20 World Cup<\/strong> campaign, showing faith in a well-gelled unit led by Kathryn Bryce<\/strong>. The team, however, will be without Australian-born all-rounder Saskia Horley<\/strong>, who has taken a break from international cricket, and spinner Olivia Bell<\/strong>, who is sidelined with a shoulder injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This opens the door for young sensation Pippa Sproul<\/strong>, who finished as Scotland\u2019s leading run-scorer in the ICC Women\u2019s Under-19 World Cup<\/strong> earlier this year.
